Bow Warranty
Warranty for all bow types made by Heritage Longbows
All the timber in bows made by Heritage Longbows is sourced from specialist timber importers. Before each item is despatched they personally inspect it for faults. Your bow should last you a long time if its looked after and not abused. We recommend the use of a double looped stringer to string the bow.
This warranty is offered on an ex-works basis.
Bow Staves/Bow kits
No warranty is given or implied on unfinished items.
Laminated Bows and glass composite bows 12 months Warranty from date of delivery/collection
If your bow breaks or fails due to faulty materials or workmanship within :-
3 months we will repair/replace it F.O.C.
3 to 6 months it will be replaced at 25% of the current retail price.
6 to 12 months it will be replaced at 50% of the current retail price.
At our discretion we may decide to repair rather than replace, this may be a bloom, splice, Dutchmans plug or any other suitable repair.
Self Bows 6 months Warranty from date of delivery/collection
If your bow breaks or fails due to faulty materials or workmanship within :-
3 months we will repair/replace it F.O.C.
3 to 6 months it will be replaced at 50% of the current retail price.
At our discretion we may decide to repair rather than replace, this may be a bloom, splice, Dutchmans plug or any other suitable repair.
We will not replace any bow that has been misused, abused or used improperly. It is at the bowyers full discretion to revoke or honour the warranty after inspecting the faulty item.
Heritage Longbows do not offer upgrades or replace bows with higher draw weight or longer draw lengths, nor does it offer a refund when requested after a warranty issue.
Before a replacement is sent out the original bow must be returned for inspection or photographic evidence of the problem received. We supply bows and accessories globally and cannot cover the costs of carriage to or from the workshop as part of our warranty within the price we charge.
